Located in the southern edge of the Atlantic Forest Biome, Ervais do Futuro stands out by transforming agricultural production through advanced and sustainable techniques. Our choice to cultivate yerba mate goes beyond the traditional wheat, soy, and corn crops predominant in the region; we see vast potential for this native South American plant in sectors like beverages, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals.
Sustainability and Biodiversity Preservation
We preserve the natural vegetation around the rivers crossing our lands, and the araucaria, a symbolic tree of southern Brazil and an endangered species, has its place in our plantation with grafted seedlings for pine nut production. This way, we contribute to local biodiversity and the preservation of native species.
Seed Selection and Soil Care
We use high-quality genetic seeds from selected native trees, ensuring sustainable and efficient planting. To handle dry periods, we implement a drip irrigation system that optimizes water usage. For pest control, we prioritize biological inputs and specific soil fertilization, respecting plant needs and natural soil conditions. Diverse cover crops protect against erosion and enrich the soil with more nutrients.
Differentiated Processing for Exceptional Quality
We believe in the potential of young leaves, rich in antioxidants and bioactive compounds. Unlike conventional methods, we do not use combustion for drying and enzymatic inactivation, avoiding contaminants and preserving the leaf’s original green color. The exclusive use of electricity in processing ensures integrity and a naturally sweet flavor.
Innovation: Brazil’s First Yerba Mate Harvester
In October 2024, we incorporated Brazil’s first yerba mate harvester, developed by Lory Machines. This equipment allows us to harvest with greater precision and speed, preserving leaf quality and reducing the time between harvest and processing. This investment in technology reflects our continuous pursuit of innovations that enhance our product’s productivity and quality.
Commitment to Quality and the Future
At Ervais do Futuro, each step is guided by a dedication to quality. From seed selection to harvest and processing, everything is designed to offer a sustainable, high-nutritional value yerba mate. Follow our journey and discover how we combine tradition, innovation, and sustainability to deliver the best of yerba mate directly from nature to you.
